Exhibition of a Cultural Hero

Eric was asked to contribute a piece to a series of typographic posters honoring a select number of culturally significant figures. Eric, who was assigned Jackson Pollock, decided that the best way to honor such an iconic artist was to rip him off. He designed a special stencil from a cereal box, whipped around some paint from some old paint cans his dad had lying around, photographed the result, then digitally mastered this final piece. The poster went on to win Gold and Silver at the 2020 ADDY awards in the student category at the district and regional competitions. To this day Eric is proud of this cute little poster.
